Who I Am Professionally…
As a business graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, I became a financial professional after realizing how many of my peers had little financial knowledge. After a couple of years of financial advising, I discovered that I enjoyed engaging clients in complex financial planning matters (the challenging and really thought provoking situations) while also working with financial professionals which allowed me additionally to oversee the running in my branch management role.
Back in 1998, I began the official path of becoming a financial advisor. Currently, I hold the following credentials of the Series 7 (General Securities), Series 24 (Registered Principal), Series 63 (Blue Sky Laws), Series 65 (Investment Advisory Representative), as well as the long-term care and Life & Health Insurance licenses. In 2016, I became a Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFP®). During my time at Cambridge, I have been invited as a panelist at the women’s and national conference. Due to my interest in compliance, I have also become an arbitrator for FINRA.
When working with either our clients or financial professionals, I look for potential weaknesses in the plan. By anticipating the pitfalls, it helps our financial professionals and clients avoid the potential hazards so they can achieve their goals. I am driven to understand and solve problems.
And Now for the ‘Real’ Me
Outside of the office, my life is filled with various interests and family. After work, I can be found outside or practicing yoga. Pasta-making became an acquired skill during the pandemic. While singing on Broadway wasn’t in the cards for me, I do enjoy an array of music (including musicals) and attempt to play them on my piano. I enjoy traveling with my family to new places and adventures – preferably warmer environments around water. Currently, my husband, daughter and I live in the Lake Wylie area with our two Pomchis, Bubbles and Coco.
